Sensei Gerson Ortiz Vergara
Who was born on October 19, 1975 and is the second of 3 children from Valparaiso, Chile. Gerson started in Kenpo Karate when he was 13 years old with Sensei Hugo Gallardo Carcamo 6th degree in Kenpo. Sensei Gerson today is a 2nd degree in Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do and 4th degree in Kenpo Karate. He immigrated to the United States of America in January 2001. He has been studying the Ancient form of Martial Arts for over 16 years and has settled in Allentown to share his wealth of knowledge and self-discipline. Gerson also is very active in the community and his goal is to show young people there is a place, knowledge and a reason to be involved in this form of Martial Arts. Besides being a Sensei, Gerson also is very active in the behavioral health field and continuously strives to help people better themselves. He is one who believes that through self-discipline, hard work and the "can do" attitude, anything is possible.
